Chem Film

It is a chromate-based film used to protect aluminum and its alloys against corrosion, and is also used as a “primer” to improve paint adhesion.

Specification Applied: MIL-DTL-5541.

Passivation

The process of passivation on stainless steel is carried out to reduce reactivity.

Reduces oxidation, increases longevity, and keeps stainless steel well protected.

Specification Applied: AMS-QQ-P-35 / ASTM – A967.

Hard Chrome

It is used to reduce friction, increase wear resistance and increase corrosion resistance.

The hardness achieved with this coating is 66 to 70 degrees Rockwell.

Specification Applied: AMS QQ-C-320.

Tin (Matte and Bright)

Electroplated Tin, is a metal coating that can be applied on different materials such as steel, aluminum, brass, copper, etc. It increases corrosion resistance, its a good electrical conductor and it is solderable. Parts can be processed in barrel or rack. Can be matte or bright.

Specification Applied: ASTM B545.

Anodizing

It increases the resistance to corrosion, wear, and gives better adhesion to subsequent painting processes, ideal for aesthetic purposes, as its porosity absorbs dyes easily.

Specification Applied: MIL-A-8625.

Electroless Nickel

Nickel deposit without the use of electricity, which ensures its permanence and a finer finish.

Achieves uniform thicknesses throughout the part. Increases corrosion and abrasion resistance. Good solderability properties.

Specification Applied: MIL-C-26074.

Bright Nickel

It is commonly used in marine items, automotive, motorcycle components as well as medical fixtures, home accessories, tools and parts used in plumbing.

It is used for decorative purposes and to improve corrosion and wear resistance.

Specification Applied: AMS-QQ-N-290.

Zinc plating (Rack and Barrel)

Zinc plating is used on both small and large parts. It can be run in barrel or rack. Different colors can be obtained in the finish.

Improves corrosion resistance. Used as a "primer" to improve paint adhesion. Extends part life.

Specification Applied: ASTM B-633 / QQ-Z-325.

Copper Plated on Teflon

It is a plastic metallization process, giving rise to shiny deposits and an excellent visual finish, leaving the final layer: Bright Copper.
